BRETT R. TAYLOR
Brett is the senior strength and conditioning coach at the Sports Authority of Thailand working with Thailand’s best athletes. He was instrumental in training Thailand’s female weightlifters secure 2 golds and a silver medal in the Rio Olympic games, 2016.
He is currently working closely with the national waterpolo team (SEA games gold medalists), previously worked with the Thailand national badminton team (Including world number 1, Ratchanok Intanon), national boxing team and some of Thailand’s best golfers.
He also works one on one with Thailand’s hottest celebrities including Ploy Chermarn, Lydia Sarunrat, Matthew Deane and Aerin Yuktadatta. Brett has completed a Bachelors’ Degree in Exercise Physiology and Masters in Strength and Conditioning, as well as numerous other certifications in fitness, sports massage and business, and is a registered sports scientist with the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS).
After working in Japan and Hong Kong as an exercise physiologist and sports masseur for the largest private organisation in Asia (The American Club), he moved to create Tailife Health & Leisure Spa in Phuket, Thailand. This stunning facility included a state of the art gymnasium, 25 meter swimming pool, massage spa, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor restaurant, and sports bar. As managing director he oversaw design and construction, created and implemented a systematic business analysis, operating procedures, membership systems and strategic sales and marketing plan. Tailife Leisure Spa reached over 300 long term members in its first year of business and is still the leading health and fitness centre in Phuket today (as part of the Yorkshire Hotel).
Since 2007 Brett has been consulting with major wellness centres in Asia including Six Senses Destination Spa, TRIA Integrative Wellness in Bangkok, Chiva Som Resort in Hua Hin, and led the 2 million dollar up-grade to City Gym Plus in Cheboksary, Russia.
He is an expert on fat loss, increasing muscle definition, increasing strength, and his clients overall health and wellbeing. He has also practiced his skills as a sports masseur with a high degree of success. As such, Brett has served as the sports massage therapist for President of the U.S.A., George.W Bush and treated other sports stars such as Martina Navratilova.
